Plate printed music is clean and legible with very occasional hand written annotation, paper is slightly darkened and foxed. Previous owners bookplate (F.(?) A. Gardner) on the inside front cover has been crossed out in ink with gift note inscription on facing end-paper "Presented to St. Michael's College, Tenbury by Aurthur H D Prendergast (Hon: Fellow) November 1901". Half leather with worn marbled boards. Gilt lettering and decoration on spine is well rubbed and little remains. Corners and edges of boards are well worn, rubbed and scuffed. Spine is worn. The plate printed score is clean, free from added notation and is bound together soundly. The leather spine is split and heavily flaked and covers are partially detached. The marbled paper on the covers is worn and has areas of loss. Edges are well scuffed. End-papers and inside covers have previous owners names and various small scribbles. At the rear of the volume the pasted end-paper is torn horizontally and the lower part is adrift from the rear inside cover, it includes a previous owners name and date written upside down "Ann Bonn, Book, 1802, Sarah Bonn".
